The ssh Server Manager is a secure, remote access serial console
server and remote power manager that can control from 1 to 128 servers
in a "Lights Out" colo facility. The appliance has the following
capabilities:
- Secure remote control of data center servers from anywhere
via an ssh terminal session to the target server console serial
port.
- Secure remote power management. Query server power status,
turn server off or on, perform front panel reset function remotely.
(These features work with any motherboard meeting the Intel ATX
power specifications.)
- Utility to continuously monitor server power status and automatically
turn server on, or off, if it is found in the wrong state.
- Utility to turn servers off in a controlled, user defined,
sequence to shed load on UPS after power fail, then turn them back
on in controlled sequence when power restored.
- Small virtual host capable web server to serve static pages
for web sites on a server that is down while being serviced.
- Single port model available in desktop or 1u form factor.
- 8 or 16 port models available in 1u form factor.
- 32 or 48 port model available in 2u form factor.
- 64, 80, 96 port model available in 3u form factor.
- Standard model includes one network interface and one serial
com port for local terminal or modem access to the embedded system.
- Options:
- 2 network interfaces for public internet connection and
private LAN connection.
- Power Fail monitor or APC Smart-UPS® monitor.
- Network (pxe) boot FreeBSD install utility for remote server
OS install.
- Single port model available for 30 day evaluation.
- Production models available 30 days ARO.
